Patreon Launch
Hi everyone, very exciting news today: I've just launched a Patreon site!
This is something I've been planning for a long time. I have been a member of other peoples Patreon sites for several years, and I love it as a format for seeing behind the scenes of a creator and being able to engage more personally with them than on social media. I'm excited about being able to create our own community, built around a love of fabric books, and I'll be putting together a range of content centred around all things Stitchbook (including tutorials, timelapse videos and materials tests).
The best thing about Patreon is it is all online, and so is accessible to people all over the world. I've often been asked to hold online workshops or make more content for people outside of the UK, but I could never quite get a way to make it work. I have specifically designed this to be suitable for you to access any where in the world. That means there won't be any shipping (all content is digital) and at the moment there won't be any live calls, so all content can be watched at the best time for you.
Each month we will have a different theme - this month it is Introduction Month so there will be lots of content outlining my plans and the basics you'll need to know. Next month will be Photo month, so (in the Stitchbook Club tier) I'll be giving you a detailed tutorial about two types of photo transfer method, and the following month I'll be showing you how to make a fabric Flipbook. There will also be a monthly timelapse video plus before and after videos.
If you haven't used Patreon before I've written a list of FAQs to try and explain how it works.
