Patreon FAQS:
What is Patreon:
Patreon is a subscription service that allows you to buy access to content from artists and creators on a monthly basis.
How does it work?
Each month I will create content specifically for my Patreon members. There are two tiers which are priced differently and give you access to different content.
The content from previous months gets stored so we will be building up a library of posts that you can go back and refer to (whenever you have a subscription to the tier that content was made for).
What do I get?:
I will be sharing a wide range of content centred around how to create fabric book designs, both photo albums and fabric art journals.
Different tiers get different content. I currently have two tiers:
Timelapse Tier: You get:
A monthly Timelapse process video of the creation of a Stitchbook page in my monthly journal.
Brief behind the scenes and news.
Early access to product launches and sales.
This tier is for people who want to support my creative practice and see what I'm up to. You'll get a monthly timelapse video of the creation of a Stitchbook page, so you can see my processes and how I build up the design. It's designed to be a casual, low-cost way to catch up with me and support my work.
2. Stitchbook Club Tier: You get:
1-2 videos a month
1 x before and after video per month - explaining and evaluating my monthly Stitchbook page.
Behind the scenes content
Member-only voting - shape the content you want to see.
PLUS access to previous tier
Monthly video content could be:
Tutorials - process and techniques
Stitchbook and sketchbook tours
My favourite tools, materials and processes.
Materials trials
Q & As
This tier is where I'll be sharing all you need to know about making and decorating your own fabric books - both photo albums and art journals. Each month there will be an in-depth video, either a tutorial of a specific technique or process or a series of shorter videos exploring different materials and ideas. There is also a monthly before and after video of my monthly Stitchbook page, describing the planning and design stages of my Timelapse video.
Who is this for?
This is suitable for anyone who wants to know more about how Stitchbooks are made. You can be a beginner or advanced stitcher! I will be covering a range of techniques and processes.
Can I change tier?
Yes. You can change tier easily and as many times as you want, although downgrades and cancellations don’t come into effect until the end of the monthly billing period.
If you want to upgrade, you can do this any time - you will be billed the outstanding amount immediately and get access to the higher tier membership for the remainder of the billing period. To downgrade, just choose to switch to a lower tier, and this will come into effect at the end of your billing period.
How do I access the content?
You can access the content on my Patreon web page (https://www.patreon.com/StitchbookStudio) or through the Patreon app.
How do I know there is new content?
Patreon will email you when there is new content. You can preview this in the email and then view in full on the website or mobile app.
How do I access old content?
Content from previous months is stored on my page (https://www.patreon.com/StitchbookStudio) and you will be able to access all of the old content from whatever tier you currently subscribe to. This is one of the best bits about Patreon- it creates a huge library you can access any time you subscribe. So paying for one month actually gives you access to every month up to that point!
What will I get charged?
You will get charged the stated rate of the tier you choose, plus any VAT or taxes payable in your country.
When will I get charged?
New patrons will be charged the day they become a patron, and then again on that same day the next month. For example, if you sign up on the 14th, you'll be charged again next month on the 14th.
