The Stitchbook Handbook

It's my book launch day!

I'm so proud to be releasing this book: The Stitchbook Handbook: A how-to guide to making your own fabric memory book. I've been working on it all year, and it includes all of the key Stitchbook methods and techniques I've been developing over the past five years.

The idea was to create a written version of my Introduction To Stitchbooking workshop, as I know most of you can't make it down to Portsmouth to come in person!

It follows the complete process of making your Stitchbook from choosing a theme, to adding your photos, text and embellishments. I have included step-by-step photo instructions for many of the techniques as well as lots of example images from my personal Stitchbooks, to help you create something special.

The Handbook will be helpful for anyone who isn't sure how to start their project, wants guidance on what techniques to use, needs ideas and inspiration for page layouts, or just needs a nudge to pick up their project again.

Details of the book:

An 85 page book full of step-by-step instructions and inspirational photos.

210 x 210 cms. Full colour throughout, printed on uncoated paper and featuring soft touch lamination on the covers.

Learn how to:
Transfer your own photos to fabric.
Decorate the backgrounds of your pages.
Create a range of lettering styles.
Add decorative elements.
Combine techniques to create exciting designs.

This book is designed to be used in conjunction with blank fabric Stitchbooks.

You can order your copy through my Stitchbook Studio Shop or through my Etsy Shop , and why not pick up some supplies for your project at the same time!

Thanks for all of your support and enthusiasm over the past few years; talking to you all about the potential of Stitchbooking, seeing your books during workshops and over social media, have all helped inspire me to keep developing new techniques and see new possibilities.

I'm proud of the book and the creative work that has gone in to building the examples over the past 5 years, so I really hope you enjoy it,

Thanks,
Kim Edith
