Fancy Dress Stitchbook
This Stitchbook uses the Cotton and Blueberry blank to records lots of moments throughout my life, specifically times where I have worn fancy costumes!
Featuring village fetes, halloween parties, art school events and several summers working at an American Summer Camp. Each page is designed to suit the style of costume, with colours and patterns changing to match.
What Story Do Your Photos tell?
I always start my Stitchbooks by looking through my photos and seeing what themes jump out at me. It might be that there are lots of photos of childhood holidays at the beach, days out in the woods, or meeting up with a specific family. By grouping the photos together, spanning years and decades, you can create a record of a special location, a changing relationship or lifelong hobby.
For this Stitchbook I used the Ravelin Sewing pattern to make a book with contrasting edge strips. I chose to use the same cotton as for the pre-made Stitchbooks, because I like the modern crisp colour of the natural cotton, and added blueberry contrast strips.
